Wir waren beim Bessere Zeiten Festival 2 dabei. Auf www.bessere-zeiten-festival.de gibt es jetzt die offizielle Festival-Review. Für alle Lesefaulen hier der Ausschnitt, der sich mit uns beschäftigt:
[Das Festival fing mit] Vain:Trash an. Verdammt ist es ein schweres Ding Nachmittags um Drei auf ne Bühne zu steigen und das recht locker verteilte und motivierte Publikum von der eigenen Musik zu überzeugen. Das fetzt glaub ich, nicht wirklich aus allen Betrachtungsweisen. Aus unserer – irgendwie müssen wir ja anfangen – Betrachtungsweise, sollte es allerdings 15 Uhr starten und das wird jede Band bestätigen, wenn der Martin (Stagemanager) irgendwas kann, ist es diese fiese, große, weiße, stetig tickende Uhr auf der Bühne abzulesen. Der Posten ist klar, das Los auch aber Vain:Trash sind große Jungs und machen locker das Beste daraus. Die jungen Alternativ-Rocker machten ihre Sache irre gut und dass zuerst die Tische und Bänke an den Bierwagen besetzt wurden und nicht der Bereich vor der Bühne, erscheint ihnen wohl auch logisch, weshalb man nicht den Einruck hatte, als würde sie das beeinflussen. Vain:Trash rocken kräftig ab und ich denke, gerade durch die außergewöhnlich angenehme Stimme des Sängers, mit dem Pseudonym Ricadilly Vain und eingängig melodiösen Songs wie “Rock’n’Roll Rodeo”, werden wir uns an Vain:Trash wohl durchaus noch ein Weilchen erfreuen dürfen. Wer sie nicht gesehen hat, weil er noch müde war oder einfach am Bierstand stand (das bedürfte dann noch einer kleinen Kurzsichtigkeit), sollte dringenst mal auf eins der nächsten Konzerte gehen. Eins ist klar, diese Band rockt auch außerhalb der Kaffee-und-Kuchen-Zeit.
